About This Watch
The Datejust is the watch every other dress-sport watch is measured against, and this example carries the dial collectors quietly mourned when Rolex discontinued it this year: the azzurro blue Roman. Its colour is applied by vapour deposition rather than conventional lacquer, reading soft grey-blue in low light and a bright cerulean in the sun, and Rolex left the hands and dial entirely without lume, a deliberate choice that makes this the most formal face the modern Datejust 41 ever wore.
The sunray azzurro dial carries applied 18k white gold Roman numerals, framed by the 18k white gold fluted bezel that gives this White Rolesor reference its light-catching signature, on the three-link Oyster bracelet with an Easylink extension. This example was purchased locally through Khoory & Sons, Rolex's authorised dealer in Abu Dhabi, and comes as a full set with its original purchase invoice, wearing full PPF protection stickers.
41mm Oystersteel and 18k white gold case powered by the Rolex Calibre 3235, a Superlative Chronometer certified to plus or minus two seconds per day, featuring the Chronergy escapement, an instantaneous date with rapid setting, approximately 70 hours of power reserve, a sapphire crystal with Cyclops lens, and 100m water resistance.
