About This Watch
The Pelagos FXD takes its name from its most distinctive feature: fixed, integrated lugs in place of conventional spring bars, a piece of tool-watch engineering developed with input from the French Navy's combat diver unit. This edition was built in 2023 for Alinghi Red Bull Racing, the Swiss syndicate Tudor backed in the America's Cup, and it turns the FXD from a dive tool into a sailing instrument: the case is rendered in the same high-tech carbon composite as the team's AC75 race boat, and the bidirectional bezel carries a reversed 60-to-0 scale for timing regatta countdowns rather than dives.
This example carries the matte blue dial with "ALINGHI RED BULL RACING" lettering around the flange, luminous ceramic composite block indexes, and the red seconds hand and red Pelagos signature that pick up the team's colours, on the Team Blue jacquard-woven fabric strap with red accents that threads through the fixed lugs and closes with a titanium D-buckle. It is like new and unworn.
42mm carbon composite case with titanium bezel and crown, powered by the automatic Tudor Manufacture Calibre MT5602, COSC-certified as a chronometer, with approximately 70 hours of power reserve, a sapphire crystal, and 200m water resistance.
