About This Watch
Introduced in 2008, the Quai de l'Île Day-Date and Power-Reserve marked a clear departure from Vacheron Constantin's more classical collections. Its seven-part cushion case and security-printed sapphire dial formed part of an extensive customisation system, and the model won the Men's Watch Prize at the 2008 Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève.
Here, the case and bezel are executed entirely in titanium, paired with a semi-transparent grey sapphire dial, a Vacheron Constantin-signed dark brown alligator strap and a titanium folding clasp. The security-printed dial reveals the dark ruthenium finish of the movement beneath its day, date and power-reserve indications. The titanium shows light surface marks, and the strap has visible creasing. It comes as a full set with its Vacheron Constantin outer and inner presentation boxes and a local authentication certificate.
Inside is the automatic calibre 2475 SC/1, a 27-jewel Geneva Seal movement running at 28,800 vibrations per hour. The 41mm watch displays hours, minutes and central seconds, with separate day, date and power-reserve indicators. It offers approximately 40 hours of power reserve, a sapphire display back and 30m water resistance.
